{mosimage}Tradities zijn te mooi om te breken. Terwijl in Landgraaf de bezoekers van Pinkpop binnenstromen, maakte de organisatie van Lowlands vijftig nieuwe namen bekend voor de editie 2008. The Hives, Nightwish, N*E*R*D, Underworld, Franz Ferdinand, Anouk, Dropkick Murphys en Amy Macdonald zitten daar tussen. Giel Beelen had de eer om vrijdagochtend nog twee namen te mogen aankondigen. Ook Infadels en The Hoosiers komen naar Lowlands 2008.

Lowlands 2008 zal plaatsvinden in Biddinghuizen van 15 tot en met 17 augustus. Eerder werd al bekend dat ook The Kooks, Sex Pistols, Sven Väth, Róisín Murphy, The National, Modeselektor (live), Simian Mobile Disco, Volbeat, Mindless Self Indulgence, Killswitch Engage, Hadouken!, Tunng, Black Kids, Asakusa Jinta, British Sea Power, Diplo, Korpiklaani en Crystal Castles komen spelen.
