Het beste album van 2009 is Wait For Evolution van De Staat. Dat vinden althans de medewerkers van LiveXS. Black Gives Way To Blue van Alice In Chains volgt het album van de Nijmegenaren op de voet. A Place To Bury Strangers completeert de top 3 met Exploding Head. In totaal werden 262 verschillende platen genoemd door 40 medewerkers van LiveXS. Opvallend is het grote aantal Nederlandse producties in de top 10. Zie hieronder de volledige top 10 en de individuele lijstjes.
Naast De Staat vonden ook Drive Like Maria, Moss en Stuurbaard Bakkebaard een plekje bij de hoogste 10.
